For those visitors who have never travelled to Mull before, the journey itself is one of the highlights. Allow plenty of time to take in the scenery, stretch the legs, indulge in some fish and chips (the Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum is fabulous!). If you have booked the Calmac ferry from Oban to Craignure (advisable), then you need to arrive 30 minutes before the departure time. It's also a good idea to fill up with fuel in Oban, or if you prefer, when you arrive in Craignure.
Once on Mull, the journey through 'the glen' from Craignure to Bunessan is one of the most beutiful drives you can imagine, whatever the weather. Keep an eye out for deer, buzzards, errant sheep and if you're luck you might even spot a Golden Eagle or White-tailed Eagle! Enjoy.
